Hands-on blacksmith instruction for two individuals or more for up to eight hours. The price listed is per person. To ensure each person receives adequate attention and instruction, no more than four people per appointment, please. You will learn how to use a blacksmith's tools, including but not limited to the forge, anvil, tongs, hammers, chisels, and punches. You will be given the option to use a coal and/or propane forge. We start out with beginner projects, like a J hook or S hook, and then graduate from there depending on the student's preference, abilities, and time constraints. It is recommended that you bring your own gloves and any other protective gear you prefer. Be advised that tennis shoes or boots are required. No sandals or open-toed shoes are permitted.
Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by a parent and the parent must be present for the duration of the lesson. Participation will require the signing of a liability waiver.
